State Grader is designed to show the source agency, reference period, measurement definition, update date and calculation method behind every published result.
Verified data will be introduced state by state.
We are preparing sourced metrics for the six quality-of-life pillars. Scores, rankings and comparisons will appear only after data validation.
Awaiting verified dataNo verified cross-state dataset has been connected. State Grader will not infer a grade from incomplete data.
Side-by-side comparisons will be available after the same verified metric definitions cover both states.
We will not present a comparison until the measures are comparable, source-backed and reviewed.
A trustworthy public scorecard needs definitions and data people can inspect.
Attribute every observation to a government agency or vetted original dataset.
Check coverage, comparability, reporting year and missing values.
Publish methodology and documented weighting before scoring any state.
Show when data was last verified and flag discontinued or delayed series.
Letter grades are intentionally unavailable until scoring weights, normalization rules and source coverage are approved.
Progress starts with learning from outcomes that can be measured.
Our long-term goal is to connect transparent outcome measures with documented public practices and help communities understand what may work elsewhere. Comparisons and causal claims will require evidence—not assumptions.
